Lopez Industries President, Miguel A. Lopez, is a passionate and hardworking individual who became a business owner at age 24 after serving in the US Marine Corps and completing two combat tours to Iraq. Miguel is constantly looking for ways to improve himself and his business and lives by the phrase “knowledge is power.” He attended Moraine Valley Community College in 2012 and earned an Associates of Arts degree. He continues to further his knowledge through career development workshops and programs such as the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and the Illinois Tollway program.

Miguel began working for his father's truck tire shop at a young age, where he learned about trucks and trucking industry. He then opened his own truck tire company that eventually evolved into a maintenance company for semi trucks. He purchased his first truck and began truck driving as an owner operator. Now he bids government contracts for construction hauling (trucking). Recently, Miguel entered the real estate industry and has begun to grow his real estate portfolio. Through his business, Lopez hopes to have a positive impact on the world and wants to set a new standard for effectiveness, efficiency and work ethic in the trucking industry.

When asked why he remains committed to his work and constantly strives to better himself, Miguel said “ I do it: for my friends who didn't get to come back home from Iraq, for my family giving me the opportunity to grow in this wonderful country, for my son, to show him by example to try his best at everything he does. To break generational curses. In the hispanic community more often than not we are raised to believe we have to be employees and work for someone and that wealth is not for us. I chose to believe otherwise and I am trying to change that.”

Alexis Gonzales is a dedicated individual who has played a key role in the success of Lopez Industries. She has 2 wonderful kids. She oversees daily operations and ensures that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Alexis loves the busy and fast paced environment of the trucking industry and is constantly learning and growing through her work. Her favorite thing about the industry is the positive impact that the Lopez team has on local communities through sidewalk improvements, road maintenance, and more. She can be described as a loyal, kind, and hardworking individual who is devoted to her work and is constantly always looking for ways to improve her skills and, in turn, aid in the success of Lopez Industries.
